About the MRT Kajang Line

The MRT Kajang Line (also referred to as the Sungai Buloh–Kajang Line or SBK Line) is Malaysia's first Mass Rapid Transit line, operated by Rapid KL under Prasarana Malaysia Berhad. Opened in phases between 2016 and 2017, it spans 51 km with 31 stations and uses world-class Siemens Inspiro rolling stock.

The line is notable for its deep underground stations through the city centre — Bukit Bintang and Merdeka stations are among the deepest metro stations in Southeast Asia, featuring stunning architectural design. Bukit Bintang is the gateway to KL's Golden Triangle shopping and dining district including Pavilion KL and KLCC area, and provides an interchange with the MRT Putrajaya Line.

At Kwasa Damansara, the line shares a terminus and cross-platform interchange with the newer MRT Putrajaya Line. At Kajang (southern terminus), passengers can connect to KTM Komuter services. The line's MRT fare structure is distance-based, ranging from RM 1.10 to RM 6.40.
