PLANNEDLRT Shah Alam Line (LRT3)

Proposed route and key facts — not yet operational as of April 2026.

The LRT Shah Alam Line (also referred to as LRT3 or the Klang Valley LRT Line 3) is a planned light rail transit line in Selangor, Malaysia. The proposed route would connect Johan Setia (near Klang) in the south to Bandar Utama (near Petaling Jaya) in the north, passing through Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, and Petaling Jaya.

The line was originally planned to open around 2024 but has faced multiple construction and financing delays. It is being developed by MRCB-George Kent, with Prasarana as the eventual operator. Once complete, it would significantly improve connectivity for Shah Alam residents who currently rely on KTM Komuter and buses.

For the most up-to-date information on the LRT3 opening date, check prasarana.com.my or official Selangor / Malaysian transport authority announcements.
