Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly (such as email address if you contact us), technical data automatically collected when you use the site (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URLs), and anonymous usage analytics to understand how people use TrainsTracking. We do not require account registration. We do not collect payment information — all ticket booking is handled by third-party official operators.

We use the data we collect to: provide and improve the TrainsTracking service; monitor site performance and diagnose technical issues; understand how users navigate the platform to improve UX; respond to enquiries you send via our contact form; generate anonymous, aggregated statistics about train data popularity. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

TrainsTracking uses essential cookies required for the site to function correctly (session management, preference storage). We also use anonymous analytics via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time using your browser settings or a reputable cookie opt-out tool. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use the following third-party services which may process your data under their own privacy policies: Supabase (database infrastructure, hosted in EU), Vercel (hosting and CDN), Google Analytics 4 (anonymous usage analytics). When you click links to official booking sites (e.g., Amtrak, National Rail, irctc.co.in), you leave TrainsTracking and are subject to those sites' privacy policies.

If you are in the European Union or UK, you have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including: the right to access data we hold about you; the right to rectification; the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"); the right to object to processing; the right to data portability.
